Best served with simple white rice.

Equipment

  • Deep frying pan with lid

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Onion
  • 2 cans White bean (baked) Original flavour with no added sweetness.

    Can use bean with tomato sauce.

  • 3 tbsp Tomato paste or 1 small can
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika (hot) To taste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Broth (Chicken) Or water

Instructions
 

  • Chopped the onion and fry in a deep frying pan, on medium heat, until transperent.
  • Add bean.
  • Mix in all the spices and the tomato sauce.
  • Add broth (or water).
  • Let simmer on medium heat for about 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Taste and fix spicing if needed.

Notes

  • Can add corn niblets, frozen or canned (drained). 
  • Can keep warm a little longer on low heat. Stir occasionally so as not to burn the bottom.
  • Best served with white rice.
