Instructions
Boiled the water.
Warm a wide frying pan or pot with some oil.
Chop the onion and add to the pan. Cook on medium heat until transparent.
Keep the heat on medium-low. Add the orzo and blend with the onion, until the grains are coated with oil.
Mix in spices.
Mix in vegetables.
Add boiling water, mix and cover with lid.
Cook on low heat for 7 minutes. Stir occasionally so the bottom would not stick to the pan.
Ready when there are no more water and the grains are soft. If the grains are not ready, add a little more hot tap water, and cook for a few more minutes until ready.
Turn off the heat and let sit for another 5 minutes.
Notes
Better serve warm, but can be served cold mixed with simple Israeli salad.
