- Warm a little oil in a frying pan. When the pan is hot, lower the heat to medium.
- If you are using bread crumbs, coat each piece of chicken in the crumbs.
- Put the pieces in the pan. They can be close together but don't overcrowd the pan. Be careful, the oil might splash.
- Cook the piece until the top turn white and the bottom is golden brown. If the cuts are thick, you may need to lower the heat and fry them a little longer so the middle would be ready.
- Flip the pieces and fry until the bottom is golden.
- When ready, put the pieces on a serving plate line with paper towel, and continue with the rest of the chicken.
Notes
You might need more bread crumbs, so keep the package in reach.
You can add other flavors to the eggs, to the flour or to the crumbs such as sweet chili, chili flexes or dried herbs such as parsley and oregano. Feel free to experiment.
For baked version:
Make the pieces thicker.
Warm up the oven for 450F. Cover a baking sheet with baking sheet. Using a spray or a brush, spread oil generously on the sheet and put the chicken pieces on top. Cover the pieces with oil.
Baked for about 20 minutes. Flip half way. If the pieces are thick or big, you might need to bake a little longer. Cut one piece to see if ready inside.
For air frying (chicken nuggets style):
Make the chicken pieces thicker.
Do not use eggs, but coat the pieces with a little oil. This will keep the chicken from getting dry. You can add spices to the oil rub.
Add more flavoring to the flour or bread crumbs (you can use either. No need for both).
Cook in 400F for about 20 minutes. Flip half way.
